Wait by warm fire,
Same soft song sung, glad.
Why see just logs burned down,
Gone to coal, in scarce time?
What will be of us?

A monosyllabic poem. This was interesting.

EDIT: Took the "s" off "coals" to make it an even number of letters. Ahem. Little late for the challenge, though.

I like this one Digs. If there is still time you should take the s off of coals. It still sounds good, and it will bring you back down to even letters for that word.
